Hobbs NM Spring Break

Spring Break 09 we decided to take a 7 hour trip to see Aunt Tanya. We traveled to Hobbs New Mexico on Saturday March 14th 2009. This trip was planned originally to be the first part of April with the intentions of Aunt Tanya being in her new home. When we came to the conclusion that she still would be several weeks away from the move in date, we decided it would be the perfect idea to take the trip during Sarah and Beka's Spring Break. I say Spring Break, not from school because I do still homeschool them but from the extra activities we have them in. We have the girls in a homeschool PE class at the YMCA and Sarah takes drum lessons and Beka is in ballet lessons. Those activities are in the Hays county school district and go by the school districts calendar. Anyway yea for us we had all activities on spring break week at the same time. So we took our chance then to see Aunt Tanya and the gang. We had a nice ride to see Aunt Tanya it felt like it took about 3 hours instead of seven (Sarah said). When we got to Hobbs we got out at the house and stretched our legs. Well Aunt Tanya didn't let us stretch to long before we got back in the sub and traveled over to get groceries and then back home to get settled in for a week. While we were there we took the kids to Big Cheese, kind of like Chuckee Cheese, really fun. They won lots of tickets to trade in for some fun toys. Also took the kids to the Hobbs park and spent the afternoon playing and talking. Most days we helped Aunt Tanya pack and the kids played outside. We had lots of fun Aunt Tanya. Thanks for letting us come see you. Hopefully we can come back to visit. Next time we will bring daddy and Lily. Read the next post about Lily.
